January 30th New Balance drops their Black History Month Collection with 4 distinct silhouettes, the 997S, 850, 574, and Kawhi’s OMN1S. The collection shares a color palette of navy, red, and gold accents with the standout OMN1S sporting a midfoot band that reads “Inspire”.
Kawhi Leonard brings New Balance to the forefront of basketball with his signature sneaker, the OMN1S. Arguably the face of the NBA, Kawhi has shot to the forefront in the past 7 years, joining the Clippers this year. The “Inspire The Dream” collection takes inspiration from Kawhi’s high school colors and celebrates independents in sport and culture that are changing the game on their own terms.
The OMN1S, is bathed in gray and navy on majority of the upper. Hits of red and gold round out the shoe , while the midfoot band reads “Inspire” in gold lettering.
The 3 other silhouettes lend to a more lifestyle look and feel with the signature materials of the 997S, 850, and 574. Leather, mesh, and suede standout with the Navy colorway as the grey takes a backseat mainly appearing on the outsole. Take a look below at the 3 lifestyle sneakers and apparel that shares in the same colorway. The whole Black History Month Inspire The Dream collection launches on 1/30 at 10am.
