Every season has signature releases and sought after sneakers that sneakerheads and occasional shoppers alike try to add to their collection in a never-ending hunt to perfect their closets. The summer usually has the hottest drops, making it the best time for sneaker shopping and showing off your footwear. That said, here is a list of our top ten sneakers of summer 2013. This list was compiled by popularity on the streets and a mix of our own favorites (in no particular order).

To start off our list are the Reebok Shaqnosis. Back from ’95 and hypnotizing the sneaker culture into a past life regression in remembrance of the damage Shaq caused on the court; this sneaker is offered in a few colorways but we chose the blue and black model of the Shaqnosis for a perfect summer day or night:

Next is the Nike Flyknit Racer; these sneakers quite possibly owned the summer despite being released in 2012. New colorways and versions continue to be released making these a hot commodity and one of Nike’s greatest inventions: flyknit technology. Spotted daily, these kicks definitely deserve a spot on the list:

On his 6th sneaker release these KD VI‘s sparked conversation forcing people to consider Durant’s sneakers as ‘must cops. The Sonic Yellow and Midnight Navy come together beautifully to create an instant eye catcher. The sneaker has since seen a few colorways and have become a popular custom item on Nikeid.com:
