On February 13th 2016 New Balance released the new 990v4. The shoe was released exclusively in the DMV area to pay homage to the regions loyal customer base. With that in mind we hosted an event appropriately named "990 Status". The event took place in our Iverson mall location and included live performances, free food, a photo booth, sneaker raffles and plenty of other giveaways. Shoe City is the only place that can turn their retail space, into a dance floor. You could literally purchase shoes, eat food and party in the same place. If you weren’t there, you might’ve missed out on one of the greatest sneaker releases in the DMV area.
