Any team associated with Jay-Z is bound to inject some creativity in whatever they do, including giving back to their community. This Saturday the Nets are hosting a Brooklyn Nets-themed sneaker art competition. The multi-talented Fabolous — a Brooklyn-native and two-time Grammy nominee — will be judging alongside Nets players Deron Williams, Jerry Stackhouse, Keith Bogans, Tyshawn Taylor and Kris Humphries.
The contest has two categories: ages 14-20 and 21-and-over. Each contestant will get sneakers, markers & materials. First place winners will receive 2 of Fabolous’ tickets to a Nets game.
Fabolous will be searching for creativity, something he doesn’t expect and a “dope combination of color.”
