2018 was a busy year for streetwear designer and confidant of Kanye West, Don C. We saw the launch of his Jordan Legacy 312 and the highly anticipated arrival of the Converse ERX, a true 80's Converse classic in November.
First released in 1988 the ERX gave basketball a bold new look with bold new tech like the Energy Wave technology that provided enhanced cushioning and spurred the Energy Return Multiplier (ERX) moniker. The chunky court style was then worn by legend Magic Johnson and other rock and street legends.
Made famous by several of the Detroit Pistons on the court the Don C collab saw his iteration as a premium lifestyle shoe. The premium ERX released along side a colorful assortment of co-branded gear in 2018.
We welcome 2019 and the second release of the Don C collaboration with Nike company Converse. On January 12th we will bring you 3 men's styles in the Converse ERX 260 Metal Pack.
The Metal pack offers three additional distinct ERX 260s in color palettes reminiscent of the convergence of '80s punk rock and pop genres. Each is embellished by an assortment of multi-size studs and is adorned with an oversize “CONS” logo print on the tongue, lighting bolt graphics and multiple lace options. Again, the shoes are complemented by a four-piece apparel and accessory set, this time set with glam metal era tones.
Each shoe is constructed with a renewed EVA midsole, while the upper and rubber cupsole mirror the original build.
