According to AutismSpeaks.org, autism affects 1 in 68 children and is one of the fastest-growing developmental disorders in the United States. In recognition of National Autism Awareness month, Shoe City and FILA collaborated to design an exclusive, limited edition shoe utilizing the classic streetball FILA silhouette, the Vintage Cage. The Vintage Cage “Puzzle Piece” features a monotone blue colorway, the representative color of autism, while the tongue and interior are symbolically decorated with puzzle pieces, which is the international symbol of autism.
The Shoe City x FILA Vintage Cage “Puzzle Piece” will be available on Saturday, April 9 in men’s and grade school sizes exclusively at select Shoe City locations and on YCMC.com. Priced at $100 (men’s) and $85 (grade school), $10 from each shoe purchased will be donated to Autism Speaks.
