A collaborative effort that took more than two years to complete, the “A.P.C. KANYE” capsule collection from designer Jean Touitou and hip-hop artist Kanye West is finally available. While the collection gotten its start when Touitou first learned of West and his aesthetics, it quickly evolved into a thesis of some sort as the two friends debated endlessly about fashion concepts till finally a collection took shape.
Narrowed to quality and fit, the A.P.C. x Kanye capsule collection consists of just t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and denim, each put through the rigors of West’s acumen on style. There are the Hooded Sweatshirt and Hooded Sweatshirt II in 100% cotton compact fleece, made with just enough “give” to be loosely fitted. The Hip Hop T-Shirt features the same fit but in 100% Egyptian cotton instead with “A.P.C. KANYE” screen-printed along the neckline. Finally, there are the Kanye Jeans in either Indigo or Stonewashed Indigo. Cut from premium Japanese denim, the jeans feature a tapered cut, low waist fit, along with button fly and selvedge trim in red.
