Kaws: Companion (Passing Through)

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) has teamed up with Amtrak to bring Brooklyn-based artist KAWS’ 16-foot-tall sculpture Companion (Passing Through) to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station in University City. Appearing first in Hong Kong in 2010 and more recently as a balloon in the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, KAWS’ Companion (Passing Through) is made of fiberglass and metal sculpture, a reimagining of Mickey Mouse and will make its Philadelphia debut on Thursday, April 11, and will remain on display until May 14.
If you happen to be in the City of Brotherly Love this Thursday, pass through 30th Street Station for what's sure to be an epic event!
