Nike: For The Love of the Game Air Force 1
The original Air Force 1 was designed by Bruce Kilgore giving basketball and Nike fans the first basketball shoe to feature Air. The Air Force 1 in classic black or white is symbolic of the Nike brand and its success. Going back decades the Air Force 1 has remained a staple for any sneakerhead. On the streets you can't walk a few steps without finding the modern take on the iconic hoops shoe that blends classic style and fresh, crisp details. 2018 brings a new Air Force 1 for the NBA fans in the crowd. Some are dubbing it a Lakers shoe but Nike has not officially released the team behind the colorway. For all intents and purposes we will dub it the Lakers AF1. Lebron James has been making headlines in the news for his philantropy and butting heads with political figures. Fans stand behind him and the timing of this NBA Air Force 1 could not have been timed better.

The real focal point is the lenticular detailing on the 3-dimensional Swoosh and the satin like heel that when propelled back and forth cuts between an NBA symbol and the iconic AF1 logo. The tonal yellow leather covers the majority of the shoe, while the black hits give it edge. Men's buyer Dan Hunter says "my favorite aspect of the new drop is the added piping on the midsole". The thick white mid and outsole give the piping a slick backdrop for a stand out design.
