It was time for the show. The crowd was ready to see some true hip-hop. First up was a new artist buzzing like crazy out of Boston that goes by the name of Millyz. From the moment Millyz hit the stage, he brought an intensity and energy that never let up from start to finish. His strength as a writer was clearly on display that night when in the middle of his set he cut the music off and started freestyling, letting the crowd know he definitely can compete with the best of them lyrically.
Up next was an unexpected vist from the West Coast MC himself Cassie Veggies. Reppin Inglewood, CA. Cassie is one of the members of Odd Future, a hip-hop collective with members who are dominating the music scene, like Tyler, The Creator and Frank Ocean. Cassie Veggies is next up branching out and doing his own thing, he's definitely one to look out for in the near future. He killed his set, even Don Cannon and Anwar Carrots was fanned out rocking on the side while Cassie was ripping the mic.

After Cassie took the stage it was time for the Chicago Duo L.E.P Boys. Right now Chicago is on a roll. Of course you will always have Kayne holding the torch, but there are some young gunners out there like Chief Keef and L.E.P that's bringing that street sound back for Chi-Town. L.E.P came in with an army and took over the stage with their hard pounding beats and let the crowd know their music is nothing to take lightly.

The last artist was sort of a twist to all the other artists. He goes by the name Lecrae. You might not have heard of this guy, but this kid has a Grammy. That’s right, a Grammy. The Grammy is for the Best Gospel Album. When he came to the stage I thought he was just a regular MC. I was fooled, Lecrae was one of the most electrifying artist I have seen in a minute. The crowd was going crazy for his music. It was good to hear some positive lyrics for a change. Don Cannon put on a great showcase with some great talent, let's see what the next day will bring. On to the next! Stay Tuned
