The popularity of the 990 series dates back to the release of the $100 in 1982. The DMV region picked up the hype and New Balance became a household name and status symbol for those with cash to spend. These past 2 years the 990v4 became the latest iteration of a premium sneaker from coast to coast but the popularity remains a DMV regional success. The 990v4 is coming to an end but New Balance still has a few tricks up their sleeve. The latest drop is bathed in grey suede paired with black mesh. The real standout is the embroidered "EST DMV", giving the region that put the 990's on the map.
New Balance is ending its V4 collection soon and this model is a celebration of the DMV and receives a special embroidered call out "EST on the outside upper. This iconic silhouette is bathed in grey suede with black mesh highlights offset by the 3M accents around the heel, tongue and large ‘N’ branding on each side. A Combo of premium cushioning and stability deliver the feel that keeps you coming back.
