The Kyrie 5 joins the "Just Do It" movement and its predecessors include the Air Max, Air Force 1,and other core classics. The infamous marketing motif made waves in 2018 and it appears Nike is not slowing down.
This silhouette opts for the same bright retro colors that have graced the spring/summer 2019 runways. The vivid neon colors are straight from fashion week and seem to be here to stay. Nike utilizes neon on the tonal black base. "Just" is done in a neon pink on the lateral side of the left shoe and "Do It" adorns the lateral side of the right shoe in pops of neon blue, pink, and yellow.
The Kyrie also includes a classic Nike tag stitched on the heel in classic Nike red and grey. The neon palette continues on the midfoot, collar, and outsole in hot pink, blue, and yellow. The Kyrie 5 features an engineered mesh upper, a flytrap-inspired overlay on midfoot, a rounded outsole that wraps up the sides of the upper, and Air Zoom Turbo.
