Throwing it back to the 1990’s when hip hop’s significance was spreading to both urban and suburban communities throughout the US and subsequently the world, the YCMC x New Balance 992 “Rewind” pays homage to the movement that laid a strong foundation for modern times.
Utilizing the era’s rich heritage and significance of self-expressive style, the 992 “Rewind” takes inspiration from the colors and prints that are synonymous with the decade. The bold coloration of this limited release features a deep navy suede upper paired with purple overlays and breathable cyan mesh for a retro-inspired look. Vibrant color pops accent the ABZORB cushioning, heel stabilizer, tongue embroidery, and reflective N logo along the sides. Completing the 90’s throwback vibe, iconic patterns and colors are emblazoned on the sockliner.
This global-exclusive collaboration releases on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10am ET on YCMC.com and in select Shoe City retail locations in the DMV in extended men’s sizes (6-13) for $180.
